London based fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic has recently presented her Pre-Fall 2014 womenswear collection. The designer shaped the looks with her signature aesthetic, gearing up for soon to be presented Fall Winter 2014 show. Once again Roksanda will join the greatest names on British fashion scene scheduled to present during the upcoming London Fashion Week.
Roksanda Ilincic's classic tailoring and graphic lines are given a sports luxe twist for pre-autumn/winter 14. Colour blocking in saturated hues lends the collection a playful air whilst the marriage between feminine pieces and masculine elements adds a dintinctly modern feel. – British Harper's Bazaar
The bold, flat, linear quality of her designs made Roksanda Ilincic's Pre-Fall offering look like clothes for a princess in a fairy tale as drawn by a Soviet constructivist artist. That dichotomy—whimsical vs. hard-edged—defined the collection. Here, a huge coat cut from the actual mohair fur that Steiff uses for real teddy bears (toys, that is). There, a dress adorned with huge, industrial, rubberized flowers. Soft vs. stiff, casual vs. formal…and so it played out through high vs. low, fit vs. flare, feminine vs. masculine. The result couldn’t help but be striking because of the collection's swoop and drape. – by Tim Blanks for STYLE.com
